About US

InspireLink is a community-rooted workforce and training organization based in Sacramento, California. We help individuals build skills, confidence, and opportunity through hands-on learning, professional development, and real-world pathways to employment.

Our mission is simple: to help people rise, rebuild, and step into purpose.

Our Story

InspireLink was founded by Richard Pardue, a Sacramento native whose journey blends construction, creativity, faith, and community service.

Richard began as an artist in elementary school, later studying drafting in high school. He went on to graduate from ITT Technical Institute, where he learned to create professional construction drawings.

At just 19 years old—one year out of high school—Richard generated the drawings used to build a 400‑sq‑ft church on a small lot purchased with his mother’s death benefits. His grandfather, Mr. Tillis, well known in Oak Park for serving the biggest hamburgers in town at The Bar‑B‑Q House, believed the church needed to be built even if he never preached in it.

During construction, Richard experienced something unforgettable. When the building needed a full EMT commercial electrical system, his grandfather told him, “I want you to wire this building.” Bruzzer had never done electrical work before, but he felt guided—as if the Spirit of the Lord was directing his hands. He bent every pipe, ran every circuit, and the entire system passed inspection and met code. That church still stands today.

That early experience shaped Richard’s belief that purpose is built through service, skill, and faith. It also laid the foundation for his 25-year construction career, operating under the name Venco Construction and later Venco Building Innovations.

Over the years, Richard worked on a wide range of residential and community projects, including work with KOO Construction on the historic Victorian home located at 5th Avenue and Broadway in Oak Park—an initiative connected to former Sacramento Mayor and NBA star Kevin Johnson.

Richard also partnered with Bill Watson, owner of The Money Brokers, contributing to SHRA-aligned programs and neighborhood revitalization efforts. These experiences strengthened his understanding of community development, property rehabilitation, and the importance of opportunity for underserved neighborhoods.

All of these experiences—family legacy, construction skill, community work, and faith—led to the creation of InspireLink.
